Now that warmer temperatures are here, it's time to celebrate the pleasant weather with your dogs. April is even Active Dog Month; the goal is to encourage pet owners to get outside and encourage the lovely spring days with their four-legged friends.

1. Howling Hollow Dog Park
   Howling Hollow Dog Park is located at Orange St. and 8th St. in Sunbury, PA. This is an off-leash dog park with two separate dog areas and a stream for the dogs to play in. 

2. Anthony Selin' Dog Park
   Located at 243 W Sassafras St. in Selinsgrove, PA, Anthony Selin' Dog Park is a fenced-in dog park that permits play among dogs of all ages and sizes.
   
   If you want to mix in a little purposeful exercise, there are also agility training areas for your dog to work on specific exercises to improve their running, jumping, and balancing.
   
   When you're ready for a break, your dog can take advantage of the pup fountain for a cool drink, and you can rest in one of the shaded grassy areas. 

3. Dale's Ridge Trail
   When you need a scenic break from searching for Lewisburg homes for sale, check out Dale's Ridge Trail.
   
   Dale's Ridge Trail is a two-mile trail loop that you can access at 1471 Strawbridge Road. There are gorgeous ridge-top views of the Buffalo Valley and a variety of habitats, including wildflowers, streams, mature woodlots, and open fields.
   
   You and your pup are sure to see a variety of fauna and flora during your walk. 

4. Milton State Park
   Milton State Park consists of 82 acres on the West Branch of the Susquehanna River and has two different sections. The northern portion has day-use facilities, while the southern half is wooded and used for hiking and nature studies. 

5. Parks in the Lewisburg Borough
   There are multiple parks in Lewisburg with dog-friendly walking trails.
   
   Hufnagle Park on St. Louis Street boasts a lovely walking path and a playground if your children want to play while you exercise with your four-legged family members.
   
   The Lewisburg Area Recreation Park on St. Mary's Street and N. 15th Street is home to multiple walking paths, a pavilion, playground, skatepark, basketball court, tennis courts, swimming pool, and soccer fields, making it an excellent selection for an active outing.
